Si bien el Reglamento General de Protección de Datos (GDPR) ya se aplica a los algoritmos para garantizar un alto nivel de protección de la privacidad, el desarrollo de algoritmos de aprendizaje cada vez más autónomos requiere una adaptación. Más transparencia e inteligibilidad en la forma en que opera el algoritmo, la garantía de que los datos utilizados no sean sesgados, que su funcionamiento sea justo y no discriminatorio, y finalmente que su papel se limite al soporte de decisiones, sin reemplazar al ser humano.
